Wikipedia page as the Finnish community knowledge bank

To walk the talk in building open strategy community Finland, we’ve decided to do something different.

Instead of hosting a static What is Open Strategy? page on our own site, we are pointing everyone toward the Finnish Avoin strategia Wikipedia page

Why Wikipedia?

By using this page as the primary landing point for information on Open Strategy in Finland, we ensure that:

  • The information is neutral and peer-reviewed: It’s not just our opinion; it’s a shared academic and practical resource.
  • It evolves with the field: As new research emerges the page can grow.
  • The community owns it: No single organization owns the definition of open strategy. It belongs to all of us.

We want the Avoin strategia Wikipedia page to be the most comprehensive resource for practitioners and researchers in Finland and we invite you to contribute:

  1. Expand the Examples: We want more Finnish case studies. If your organization has experimented with transparency or inclusion, help us document it.
  2. Refine the Practical Tips: Our "Käytännön ohjeita" section is a great start, but real-world "war stories" and lessons learned are invaluable.
  3. Update the Literature: Help us keep the bibliography current with the latest Finnish and international publications.
  4. Join the Discussion: Use the "Keskustelu" (Talk) tab on Wikipedia to debate definitions and directions for the field.

Hopefully we all can soon contribute to the English version.
